Cottage inspired, but sophisticatedly embellished. Most 2-tone finished group are done with a base color of white, gray or black and then have a contrasting top. With Rosemont, we asked Sherwin Williams to develop a more up-scaled finish for the base and coordinate the top color. The Rustic Hickory and wire-brushed poplar solids are finished with a “Bourbon” top and a “Passive gray” for the base. The powder-glazed Passive gray finish enhances the wood and allows for countless decorating ideas. Hardware is contrasting with a vintage copper in both the knobs and octagonal ring pulls.
The Bed features a headboard, framed with recessed panels to the left and right and a framed bead-board detail in the center. The Storage footboard with 16” deep drawers with a cedar bottom; perfect for holding bedding, extra pillows or off-season clothing. The footboard is topped with a padded PU in dark brown/ black color to emphasize the 2-tone of the group.
The cases also use the bead-board detailing for the top drawers while lower drawers show the unique graining of the mis-matched hickory. The Dresser is moderate at 68” but has (7) deep drawers for storage. The top right drawer has a jewelry tray. We added a 5-Drawer chest and a functional Nightstand with 2-drawers and a wireless charging device mounted under the veneer top. A USB port on the back allows for charging a tablet or other device. All upper drawers have a felt lined bottom, while mid-drawers use Cherry veneer to not snag delicate garments. The lower drawers of Dresser and Drawer Chest, as well as the Storage Footboard, have an aromatic cedar bottom. All drawers are made with ½” drawer boxes and English dovetail construction. The 45mm full-extension slides offer the best, smooth-glides available in furniture.
