Watchtower Bedroom

As we look at trends, we see white and 2-tone product still dominating the casual Traditional category. The details and finish are inspired by an old house, built in the 1880’s. The Weathered-Gray and Worn-White are both representative of the colors found on the house at Watchtower Road. Finishes that have been exposed to Mother Nature, for decades

The Post design used on the cases is from the old-house porch post. We added a bracket detail from the porch, to the Headboard and Mirror. The ship-lap detail used on the headboard and footboard are reminiscent of the interior of the house. The Gray represents the unprotected-wood siding of the old house and the White is finally starting to show its age, letting the pine show thru. Made from Pine Solids and Pine veneers the old house is getting recognized as true-Americana product. This could be anywhere in America; Cottage, Coastal, Midwest or even in the suburbs, as a product that appeals to any generation. We selected old black-iron bales and knobs for period-correct adornment.

The Bed features Porch post and bracket design elements and the panels are ship-lap detailed.   The cases are large with a Post and bracket base detail on all. The Dresser is a generous 68” and offers 7 deep-drawers, with a jewelry tray in the top-right drawer. The Mirror has the corner brackets pierced with the same detail of the headboard brackets. Lower-row drawers of both the Dresser and Chest utilize an aromatic cedar bottom, while all other drawers feature a Cherry veneer bottom (for a smooth-surface, to not snag delicate garments). A functional Nightstand with 2-drawers and a wireless charging device mounted under the veneer top. A USB port on the back allows for charging a tablet or other device. All drawers are made with solid wood drawer boxes and English dovetail construction. The 45mm full-extension slides offer the best and most smooth glides available in furniture.
